The book below is a special edition given to the author by his publisher on the publication of the 100,000th copy of The Sense of an Ending in German. Inscribed by his publishers, this is the only extant copy of the “Gold” version. From the author’s personal collection.

As with that edition, no publication date is indicated on the title page, and the copyright page only lists the original copyright date of 2005. As this paperback features the same artwork as the Alfred A. Knopf hardback book club edition (2006), along with identical blurbs to the back cover.
