Vintage issued the paperback edition of Julian Barnes’s England, England with an updated cover following the success of Barnes’s novel The Sense of an Ending in 2011. The cover lettering echoes the lettering on the jacket of the Jonathan Cape edition of the Man Booker Prize winning novel. Both covers were designed by Suzanne Dean. The edition pictured is a sixth printing with the number sequence on the copyright page: “6 8 10 9 7”.
